The Pretziada Knife
by Sergio Frongia
€ 280,00

Every shepherd in Sardinia carries a pocketknife at all times. They use it in the countryside and at the table. Almost always, they are hand made by a Sardinian knife maker.

The Pretziada Knife is based on an ancient model called the “Sulcitana” after the southern region of the island. It is completely hand made by local artisan Sergio Frongia. The handle is made of aged Juniper wood from the beams of old Sardinian houses. The blade is hand-forged, the handle is cut and sanded by hand, and all of the hinges are hand-shaped.

The Pretziada Boot
by Pretziada
€ 420,00

A polished remake of the classic shepherd boot, this was once the only shoe worn in the south of Sardinia. Women, men and children all had one pair for the country and one for the town. With an overlap under the laces, a fold-over tongue and a sturdy Ideal construction, these boots are made to keep out rain and mud. Made entirely in Italy in small, artisan batches from vacchetta leather, they are water-resistant and long lasting. The smooth sole is an original feature - handy both for easy cleaning and for remaining incognito - but may slip on certain wet surfaces.

Circle Vase

The Circle Vase is a typical vase made by artisan Walter Usai, who is a fourth generation potter from the town of Assemini. This vase recalls the original Roman canteens, soldiers would slip their arms through the center hole and wear it resting on their shoulder. Filled with water or wine, the canteen would then be stopped with a cork. Usai has added his signature decorations of leaves and roses - traditional elements of Sardinian design.

Limited Edition Print Catalog
by Pretziada
€ 30,00

A limited edition series of 150, this catalog includes six prints of Sardinian culture and landscapes. It is inspired by an old saying that plays on the fact that there are two ways to say "let's go" in Sardinian. One rhymes with "demons" and one rhymes with "God". It reflects the constant presence of the spiritual in Sardinia, as well as the belief in two parallel worlds: one good and the other evil. It is a reminder that each moment of our life we are choosing who to be. We can travel with God or we can travel with demons, but only we can decide which.
