THREE QUESTIONS FOR MARIANTONIA URRU

Along with her four sons, Mariantonia has built her workshop on the preservation of traditional techniques, some of which have become exceedingly rare. The Urru family has also dedicated themselves to recreating the entire chain of production, producing their own yarns, making their own wefts and hand finishing each carpet. Unlike other artisans, however, they have balanced out their dedication to traditional technique and production by simultaneously teaming up with international designers, further innovating their own productive capabilities. To that end, this collaboration with Pretziada is their first collection based on historic Sardinian textiles.
